Engineering Manager

Position Duties:

  • Responsible for design and estimation of custom outdoor structures. Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering

projects.

  • Develop and document manufacturing processes & equipment needs.
  • Document, guide, and track projects using Project Management (PMI) principles.
  • Identify capacity requirements and constraints and assign work strategies in the work order schedule that involves quality check inspection at each manufacturing stage.
  • Identify production requirements such as designing and implementing special purpose jigs and fixtures associated with custom orders.
  • Standardize manufacturing operations by developing work instructions, visual signals, visual quality guide and standard operating procedures for Manufacturing Processes.
  • Oversee and monitor quality engineering and control functions to ensure all manufacturing order components are within established tolerance limits.
  • Inspect manufacturing order components with critical deadlines.
  • Development of simulation models in Pro Model to analyze operations to identify Value Added and Non-Value-Added activities.
  • Assist in new product development through engineering analysis and design development.
  • Maintain Engineered Design Request work schedule by meeting due dates and coordinating with Product Development Manager.
  • Execute Time Studies of Production lines. Position Requirements:


Position Requirements:

  • Position requires domestic travel up to 5% as needed and customary for the occupation.
  • Supervise 9 subordinates with the following titles: Engineering Supervisor (1), Senior Structural Engineer (1), Structural Engineer (1), Product Design Engineer (4), Engineering Technician (1), and CNC Programmer (1).The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
  • The qualified candidate must have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience in a manufacturing engineer position, or closely related occupation.
  • The qualified candidate must also have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) developing and documenting manufacturing processes & equipment needs; (b) assisting in new product development through engineering analysis and design development; (c) analyzing operations to identify Value Added and Non-Value-Added activities; (d) executing time studies of production lines; and (e) identifying production requirements and designing/implementing special purpose jigs and fixtures.
  • All experience may be gained concurrently.
