We are looking for a talented and team-oriented Product Design Engineer that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Structureworks sells pergolas and outdoor structures that are designed and manufactured at our Fredericksburg, VA factory. This position works in a design and drafting role, producing models, renderings, and shop drawings of our structures. You will be working with a team of hard-working people to make the highest-quality outdoor structures in North America.

Education
Bachelor's degree in industrial design, architecture, or engineering
Responsibilities
- Create product models, drawings, & detailed shop drawings
- Create photorealistic renderings of products
- Assist in the development of new products
- Create product support documentation such as instructions, specifications, details, & technical bulletins
- Create Bills of Materials & product components in ERP system
- Maintain Vault file system & train others on its use
Requirements
- Four or more years working with AutoDesk Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, & V Ray to produce models, drawings, & photorealistic renderings
- Experience with parametric modeling, assemblies, sheet metal fabrication & tolerancing
- Ability to read complex plan & specification documents
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, & manage time effectively in our dynamic, entrepreneurial work environment
